All of our classes, no matter what age, stress the importance of play and YOU as your child's model. YOU are the most important piece in your child's development which is why we urge you to get involved in class. Even our drop off program involves you since it is important for you to know what is happening in class so that you can build upon it at home. Remember that it doesn't matter what your musical skills are because our classes build on all areas of development and the process is the key to it all!
This is the essential Music Together® mixed age class...in person and in Miss Vicki's backyard. Limited to 10 total families, seated at their own umbrella station (you choose sun or no sun), this class follows the recommendations of child development researchers, grouping children of a variety of ages in one class. This approach fosters natural, family-style learning where younger children enjoy watching and imitating older ones; older children learn by leading younger ones; and adults are happy because the children in the family can go to class together.
Each child participates at his or her own developmental level in singing, moving, chanting, listening, observing, or exploring musical instruments. We welcome the whole family to join in this important family music experience, and any caregiver—parents, grandparents, nanny—can bring the child(ren) to class.
